Job summary

Bridgers & Paxton is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join our team in New Mexico. You’ll work with senior engineers on a wide range of building electrical systems, gaining hands-on design experience from day one.

You’ll learn to design power distribution and lighting, perform calculations, prepare construction documents, and develop cost estimates while applying building codes and standards. This role emphasizes mentorship, growth, and long-term licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Electrical Engineering program.
• FE exam and EI/EIT certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or other engineering/design software is a plus.
• Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer licensure and long-term consulting career.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of building electrical systems including power distribution and lighting.
• Perform engineering calculations and equipment selections.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Develop cost estimates and supporting documentation.
• Learn and apply electrical codes and design criteria.
• Coordinate electrical systems with other disciplines.
