Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an entry-level Projects Designer within Electric Distribution Design. A structured training program will guide you through managing 25–75 projects from inception to release, applying engineering principles and coordinating with stakeholders.

You will inspect sites, prepare agreements and permits, and assist in storm restoration as needed. Travel up to 25% is expected during the program and early assignments.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years related experience.
• Basic knowledge of electric distribution design and company policies.
• Proficient in personal computer skills and learning new tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage 25–75 projects from inception to release using engineering principles.
• Communicate project status, timelines, and requirements to stakeholders.
• Inspect job sites and designate facility placement based on safety and operational needs.
• Prepare underground agreements, billing authorities, revenue calculations, and coordinate permits.
• Assist in storm restoration by gathering data and coordinating field activities.
