An independent production is seeking a dedicated entry-level Editor to join our small, passionate team for an upcoming drama feature film. This project is a poignant, character-driven story exploring themes of family legacy and difficult choices, with a visually rich, atmospheric tone that will rely heavily on nuanced editing. We're looking for someone eager to gain significant experience on a full-length feature. You'll be responsible for assembling raw footage into a cohesive narrative, managing media, syncing audio, and helping shape the film's pace and emotional arc. You should be proficient with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and comfortable working independently. While we're not requiring a specific reel, please share any relevant projects or passion edits you've done. Editing work is estimated to begin in late November 2026, and will likely involve about 6-8 weeks of part-time work, mostly remote with some in-person sessions in Chicago, IL. Meals will be provided during any in-person work, and you'll receive a copy of the finished film for your portfolio. We’re excited to hear from you by November 3, 2026.
