Job summary

Terracon in Des Moines, IA is seeking an entry-level Exploration Team Member to perform subsurface exploration duties using drilling and in-situ testing techniques. You will work as part of a team on projects, loading tooling, assisting with drilling operations, collecting soil and rock samples, and logging field data.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and willingness to obtain a DOT Medical Card within 30 days; safety compliance and basic equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position; no experience is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Load tooling and materials.
• Assist in drilling operations and instrumentation and monitoring well installation.
• Collect soil and rock samples and log field data.
• Perform routine repairs and maintenance.
• Perform basic surveying and site reconnaissance.
• Drive a medium-duty truck and trailer.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
• Participate in pre-task planning and report safety concerns.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
