Job summary

Insight Global in Brandon, FL seeks an entry level Distribution Design Engineer to join in-office full-time on a 12-month contract-to-hire. The role focuses on leading electrical distribution project design for overhead and underground systems, with training provided.

The ideal candidate has an ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in ME, EE, or CE, is able to work 40 hours/week in daytime hours, and is willing to learn power distribution terminology and CAD tools. On-site position only.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates with ABET-accredited Engineering degrees.
• Strong CAD design tool experience is preferred (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Willingness to learn industry terminology and company-specific software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical distribution projects across overhead and underground systems.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients and construction teams; manage projects from concept through construction.
• Support residential, commercial, and industrial developments, including joint-use and lighting projects.
