Job summary

Pratt Miller, based in Michigan, seeks an entry level design engineer to join our motorsports, defense, and mobility engineering teams. You will design vehicle and product systems using CAD, run FEA analyses, and support modeling from concept through detailed drawings within a project team led by a design supervisor.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automotive Engineering or equivalent, plus experience with parametric modeling and GD&T.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in parametric 3D modeling and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Strong technical writing, communication, team, and organizational skills.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle and product systems from concept to drawings.
• Perform system physics modeling and characterization.
• Create CAD concepts and packaging for components.
• Apply linear-static FEA for design optimization.
• Prepare and present project status reports.
• Develop testing methods and procedures for engineering use.
• Support manufacturing by answering questions and handling ECRs.
