Job summary

Health Bridge LLC is seeking a Dental Assistant to support safe, welcoming dental care for children and adults in an FQHC setting. You will assist chairside, prepare rooms, document health histories, and coordinate care with dental and scheduling teams under licensed dentist supervision.

The role requires completion of a dental assisting program, BLS certification, and compliance with California infection control and radiation safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
• Board-approved eight-hour infection control training before procedures involving exposure to blood/saliva.
• Current BLS certification required at hire; Dental Practice Act course within deadline.
• Board-approved radiation safety course required before taking radiographs.
• Clear communication, dependable attendance, attention to detail, basic computer skills, and respectful service to diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and patients; provide chairside assistance.
• Assist during dental procedures with suction and instrument transfer.
• Document health history, medications, allergies, and patient concerns for review.
• Capture intraoral and extraoral photographs; take radiographs after safety training.
• Apply topical fluoride under dentist supervision and perform delegated procedures.
• Maintain sterilization records and infection prevention procedures.
• Enter information in the dental record and route documentation for review.
• Coordinate with teams on patient flow, referrals, and access barriers.
• Monitor supplies and equipment; support quality improvement and emergency response.
