Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking an Entry level Technician to maintain and repair cranes in the field. The role involves on-call work, safety-first operations, and occasional travel for service at customer sites.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on hoists and cranes while coordinating with supervisors to schedule daily tasks. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• 0 - 2 years of crane experience in an industrial facility.
• Pre-employment drug test and background checks required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to work off the ground at various heights.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call and provide after-hour services as required.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes on-site at customer locations.
• Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generate inspection reports and repair orders.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a daily basis.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner; notify supervisor of any deficiencies.
• Maintain the ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Attend company provided trainings and seminars as required.
• Participate in HCSG 5 Marks program.
• Other duties as assigned
