Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Sulphur, LA is seeking an Entry-Level Construction Materials Testing Technician to assist field tests on soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring. Training will be provided, and certification opportunities are available.

You will work with the project team to collect samples, record results, and ensure compliance with specifications. This entry-level role requires reliability, a valid driver's license, and readiness for an on-site schedule with some overtime.

Qualifications

• +1 year of experience in Construction or Construction Materials Testing.
• TWIC card (preferred)
• Must pass a DISA drug screen
• Must pass a background check
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests such as soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring.
• Concrete testing: slump, air content, temp, unit weight, cylinder casting for compressive strength.
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis and other soil tests.
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow company safety procedures.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Arrive on site on time and communicate with dispatch daily.
• Communicate with onsite clients and relay information to management

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking applicants for the Entry-Level Construction Materials Testing Technician role in Sulphur,LA.

Do you have construction experience? Then join us and become a CMT Technician! Training will be provided, and you can get certified!

This role involves performing field testing of construction materials—including soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring—to ensure compliance with project specifications. Candidates with ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform field tests such as:
• Concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and casting cylinders for compressive strength)
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests (as applicable)
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts
• Produce timely and detailed reports
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all time
• Follow all company's procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with clients
• Arrive at the job site to which you are dispatched, on time each day
• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis
• Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay any information to management

REQUIREMENTS

• +1 year of experience in Construction or Construction Materials Testing.
• Must have dependable transportation, a truck is preferable as there is an incentive program to use it for work
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check
• TWIC card (preferred)
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment
• Capable of maintaining an "On Call" type schedule and must be willing to work obscure hours
