Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Construction Inspector to perform basic inspections under supervision. You will evaluate structural conditions, document deterioration and sampling, and report any deficiencies to project leadership. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

High school diploma or vocational degree is accepted, with no prior experience necessary. Proficiency in English and MS Office is expected, and you should be able to read and explain construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational tech degree or equivalent.
• No prior experience required.
• Willing to travel up to 10% and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain construction plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, performs construction inspections of basic complexity.
• Evaluates the condition of the structure and documents deterioration and sampling.
• Documents deficiencies between design and execution and reports to project leadership.
• Performs other duties as required.
