Job summary

Allan Myers Inc. is seeking entry-level candidates for a high school student position with the potential to transition to full-time after graduation.

You will participate in excavation tasks, material handling, and site cleanup while working under supervision on an active construction site. Hourly pay ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 based on experience, with benefits and training opportunities typical of a leading mid-Atlantic contractor.

Qualifications

• Entry level role open to high school students.
• Currently enrolled in GED/high school diploma or related work experience.
• Trade school a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Digging, spreading and shoving dirt and gravel using pick and or shovel.
• Lifts, carries and holds building materials, tool and supplies.
• Cleans tools, materials and work areas.
• Mixes, pours and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other material using hand tools.
• Performs a wide variety of manual tasks including pipe assembly, pipe cutting and laying, removal or forms from set concrete, taking layout shots, directing equipment operators on cuts and fills, etc.
