Job summary

AECOM is hosting an Entry-Level Construction Estimator networking event in New York City. The position is full-time and on-site in the NY METRO area, with an hourly compensation band of USD 39 to USD 42.

Event will discuss Spring/Summer 2027 opportunities and may lead to early career roles across multiple project types. Ideal candidates will have a BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field and demonstrate cost-estimating experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation and budgeting for design/construction projects.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specs, and contract documents to prepare estimates.
• Experience with cost-estimating processes and combining labor, materials, and overhead.

Responsibilities

• Confer with technical, professional, and managerial personnel to coordinate cost estimates.
• Prepare and/or ensure detailed cost estimates for all design/construction phases.
• Supervise development of quantity surveys and cost evaluations for design documents or changes.
• Review and report on estimates prepared by others; recommend applicability.
• Participate in cost negotiations and collaboration with project managers.
• Identify cost drivers and quantify labor, materials, and production time.
