Job summary

Orion Castings is seeking an entry-level General Machine Operator to learn CNC operation on 1st and 2nd shifts in North Billerica, MA. No prior machine experience is required, as training will be provided to get you up to speed on setup, loading parts, and production cycles.

You will receive hands-on training, learn quality checks, and work toward advanced machining or engineering paths within the company, with shift options and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and precise measurement abilities.
• Willingness to learn and apply new technical information.
• No prior machine experience required; full hands-on training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload parts into CNC machines.
• Use basic measuring equipment and maintain inspection logs.
• Maintain production rates and workflow.
• Detect and report defective materials or machine variances.
• Follow detailed work instructions and OSHA safety rules.
• Perform other production and housekeeping duties as assigned.
