Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Kenner, LA is seeking an Entry-Level Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field tests on soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring. Training will be provided, and certification opportunities exist.

The role requires reliability, a valid transportation method, and compliance with safety and drug/background checks. You will work with an experienced team, produce detailed reports, and help ensure project specifications are met.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction materials testing experience.
• Must have dependable transportation; truck preferred due to incentive program.
• Must pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.
• Capable of maintaining an on-call schedule and willing to work obscure hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests such as concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, cylinder casting).
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis and other soil tests.
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow safety procedures.
• Follow all company procedures and protocols.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Build positive relationships with clients.
• Arrive at dispatched job site on time daily.
• Communicate with dispatch daily and with onsite clients.
