Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking applicants for an Entry-Level Construction Materials Testing Technician role in Geismar, TX. This position involves field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring to ensure project specifications are met.

Training will be provided, and certification opportunities are available. Candidate should have 1+ year in construction or materials testing; preferred certifications include ACI, NICET, or TxDOT.

Qualifications

• +1 year of experience in Construction or Construction Materials Testing.
• Must have dependable transportation, a truck is preferable as there is an incentive program to use it for work
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check
• TWIC card (preferred)
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment
• Capable of maintaining an "On Call" type schedule and must be willing to work obscure hours

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests such as concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, cylinders)
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts
• Produce timely and detailed reports
• Operate vehicle safely and follow safety procedures
• Follow all company procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with clients
• Arrive at dispatched job site on time
• Communicate with dispatch daily
• Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay information to management

This role involves performing field testing of construction materials—including soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring—to ensure compliance with project specifications. Candidates with ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform field tests such as:
• Concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and casting cylinders for compressive strength)
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests (as applicable)
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts
• Produce timely and detailed reports
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all time
• Follow all company's procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with clients
