ECS Group is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Orlando team. You will perform field observations and begin routine testing under direct supervision, collecting data, documenting site conditions, and assisting with testing activities in a primarily field-based role.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0 years of related experience.
• Obtain basic certifications per ECS Technician Policy.
• Valid driver's license if driving for any ECS subsidiary.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented work ethic.
• Basic math and data entry skills.
• Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret plans.

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Orlando team and advance in a dynamic work environment. The Field Technician performs field observations and begins conducting routine testing of construction materials under direct supervision. This role is primarily field-based and supports project execution by collecting data, documenting site conditions, and assisting with testing activities. The Field Technician develops foundational technical skills and familiarity with construction practices while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.

• Performs field observations, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision
• Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
• Assists with the preparation and submission of daily field reports

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 0 years of related experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Obtain basic certifications applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy
• If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including reading comprehension
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented work ethic
• Little to no knowledge of CMT principles and testing standards
• Basic math skills and data entry ability
• Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret plans (developing)
• Basic proficiency with electronic devices (tablets, phones, and laptops)
• Ability to work effectively with supervisors, peers, and clients
• Ability to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs)
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local and state laws, road and driving regulations, and company policies
