Job summary

SMC in Noblesville, IN is seeking an Assembler to accurately perform tasks according to work instructions for standard SMC products and simple specials. The role involves reading blueprints, assembling with power tools, testing for leaks, and ensuring compliance with work orders.

You will follow all company policies and safety procedures, and participate in ongoing training for ERP systems and practices. Overtime may be required on weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer and math skills are required.
• Detail-oriented with good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to work overtime on weekdays/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Verify: read and follow SMC blueprints and assembly instructions to ensure finished product part number matches assembly parts.
• Assemble: use power tools or machines to assemble the final SMC product for each day’s assignments.
• Test and Inspect: unit tested for leaks and inspected per work order.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
• All other duties as assigned daily by supervisor.
• Additional training on SMC ERP systems and practices will be provided to new hires.
