Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is looking for entry-level Class A drivers to join their dedicated training program in Romulus, Michigan. You'll benefit from paid road training, allowing you to earn a steady income while gaining real-world experience behind the wheel.

With guaranteed weekly home time, you will train alongside a seasoned driver for 4 to 6 weeks before transitioning to solo driving. Ideal candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL and be 21 years or older.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active, valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum age of 21 years or older.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers safely.
• Train under the guidance of a mentor for 4 to 6 weeks.
• Complete vehicle inspections as per company standards.

Skills

Practical operation of Class A tractor-trailers

Mastering ELD software

Keeping up with Hours-of-Service (HOS) rules
