• Under close supervision of an engineering mentor, develops fundamentals of engineering.
• Focus on applying basic engineering concepts to routine tasks.
• Gathers data and supports preparation of drawings and studies.

• Develops understanding of client standards, policies, and procedures by reading and applying design guides and applicable codes.
• Develops understanding of Commonwealth Associates quality program and adheres to it.
• Supports continuous improvement and change management by offering process and practice improvements.
• Takes ownership of professional development and seeks guidance from mentors.
• Attends client meetings and site visits with a mentor.
• Represents the company at career fairs in collaboration with Business Development when needed.
• Supports internal project teams and learns client interests and drivers.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams and other groups to provide information as directed.
• Coordinates with administrative staff to plan tasks and prepare documents.
• Collects and manages data for engineering work.
• Contributes to engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, and studies of limited scope.
• Performs basic engineering calculations following standard methods.
