Job summary

KPFF's NorCal Civil team is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer or Graduate Civil Engineer to join our San Francisco office. This role offers growth, mentorship, and exposure to land development and infrastructure projects while developing technical and leadership skills.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree and are pursuing EIT certification, with willingness to learn, collaborate, and take on increasing project responsibility under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of civil engineering fundamentals and design principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of site development, grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and infrastructure.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Prepare plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and documentation; participate in meetings.
• Conduct field visits, collect data, and observe construction activities.
