Job summary

Giles Flythe Engineers, Inc. is seeking an entry-level civil/construction or architectural engineer (EI) for our North Carolina offices.

You will assist property owners with forensic inspections, report writing, and structural design on residential and commercial projects, traveling to sites as needed. Strong communication and technical writing are essential, with opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; structural focus preferred.
• Engineering Intern (EI) Certification required.
• Proven technical writing and report writing skills.
• Strong communication skills with clients daily.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site field investigations and structural assessments of existing properties.
• Complete forensic structural engineering evaluations and reports.
• Perform residential and commercial structural design tasks.
• Contribute to construction administration projects and site inspections.
• Communicate effectively with clients, homeowners, and contractors.
