Job summary

The Denver City Attorney's Office is seeking an Entry-Level Assistant City Attorney for the Civil Litigation Section. You will provide legal counsel to City officials, defend civil lawsuits, and support trials and appellate work. Prior civil litigation exposure is preferred.

The role handles personal injury, property damage, tort, civil rights, and constitutional claims, with mentorship from experienced attorneys and opportunities to advance within the department.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree required.
• License to practice law in Colorado by hire date or expected by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cases for litigation and represent the City in proceedings.
• Provide legal advice to City officials and employees.
• Perform legal research and assist with complex issues under supervision.
• Assist attorneys in specialized litigation areas.
