Job summary

Celebree School of North Potomac is hiring an entry-level Childcare Aide / Assistant Teacher to support lead teachers in providing high-quality care and education. You will work in a collaborative, inclusive team, following Celebree’s curriculum, creating a safe, welcoming classroom, and helping children meet their developmental needs.

This role offers growth, mentorship by the school director and leadership team, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead Teachers in classroom management ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assist in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum.
• Assist in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assist and supervise children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained.
• Present a positive and professional image at all times adhering to uniform requirements.
• Communicate effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
