Job summary

Pike Engineering, located in Fort Mill, SC, is seeking an entry-level CAD drafter to develop skills in electrical, mechanical, or civil drawings using CAD systems. Work is performed under direct supervision, focusing on accuracy and learning with increasing independence.

Responsibilities include producing scale drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, and preparing submittal packages under supervision.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of training at a technical school or equivalent experience.
• Proven AutoCAD and/or MicroStation skills.
• Strong PC/IT skills (Word, Excel, etc).
• Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagrams, schematics, layouts, multi-view drawings to scale per client requests.
• Perform mathematical, geometrical, and minor engineering computations.
• Scale engineering drawings using CAD systems such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Create detailed design drawings and specifications of civil/electrical equipment from sketches and data.
• Prepare substation, relay, and line design packages and related drawings.
