A leading design firm in Detroit, MI is seeking an Entry Level CAD Designer to assist with design projects, create technical documentation, and support installation efforts. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in a technical field or have equivalent experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and a strong attention to detail. This full-time position offers a base pay range of $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr.

Qualifications

• In-progress degree in a technical field or related industry experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Familiarity with Pro Audio, Video, Projection systems preferred.

CAD Designer/Drafter

Responsibilities

• Assist Design Engineers with Audio-Visual and facility drawings from concept to implementation.
• Create technical documentation including architectural plans, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, cable legends, and bid documentation.
• Prepare wire labels and project overviews according to company design and engineering standards.
• Support Install Staff during installation periods.
• Generate accurate project as-builts.
• Ensure design and engineering hours stay within budgeted estimates.

Qualifications

• Degree (or in-progress) in a technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or VidCAD; familiarity with Revit or BIM modeling.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office; knowledge of additional AV software a plus.
• Familiarity with Pro Audio, Video, Projection, Display, and Control Systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to support cross-functional project teams.
