Job summary

Insight Global in Columbus, OH is seeking an entry-level CAD Designer to join the team. The role is onsite, full-time, Monday–Friday, 7am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch, and includes full training on processes and CAD/GIS software.

You will design construction prints and support energy clients from a deskside office, with room to grow within the company and learn new software.

Qualifications

• Completed AS or BS degree in Engineering, Technology, Design, or related field, or 1+ years of CAD or GIS design experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing work orders for power distribution projects using CAD/GIS software.
• Supporting large and small energy clients from an office setting.
• Primarily working at a desk in the office to design construction prints.

About the Role:

Our client is looking for an entry level CAD Designer to join the team. This is an onsite role that works 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm with 30 minute lunch. There is full training provided on processes and the software utilized. This is an entry level role with room to grow within the company!

This role is onsite in Columbus, OH. Please only apply if you are able to commute each day or are in the process of moving to the area.

Responsibilities

• Designing work orders for power distribution projects, working in a corporate office environment
• Supporting large and small energy companies and clients.
• Primarily working at a desk in the office to design construction prints utilizing client specific CAD/GIS based software

Qualifications

• Completed AS or BS degree in Engineering, Technology, Construction, Design, etc OR 1+ years of design experience with CAD or GIS related software

Required Skills

• Ability to work onsite.
• Has reliable transportation.
• Ability to learn new software.

Preferred Skills

• Proven experience with CAD/GIS/design.
• Interest or background in utilities, telecom, commercial wiring or power space.
