Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an entry level CAD Designer for an onsite role in Columbus, OH. Work is 40 hours per week, 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday with 30 minutes lunch, with full training provided and room to grow within the company.

The position requires commute to the office daily and a background in engineering or design. Early career designers will design power distribution prints and support utility projects using CAD/GIS software.

Qualifications

• Completed AS or BS degree in Engineering, Technology, Construction, Design.
• 1+ years of design experience with CAD or GIS related software.
• Ability to learn new software and work onsite.

About the Role: Our client is looking for an entry level CAD Designer to join the team. This is an onsite role that works 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm with 30 minute lunch. There is full training provided on processes and the software utilized. This is an entry level role with room to grow within the company!

This role is onsite in Columbus, OH. Please only apply if you are able to commute each day or are in the process of moving to the area.

Responsibilities

• Designing work orders for power distribution projects, working in a corporate office environment
• Supporting large and small energy companies and clients.
• Primarily working at a desk in the office to design construction prints utilizing client specific CAD/GIS based software

Qualifications

• Completed AS or BS degree in Engineering, Technology, Construction, Design
• 1+ years of design experience with CAD or GIS related software

Required Skills

• Ability to work onsite.
• Has reliable transportation.
• Ability to learn new software.

Preferred Skills

• Proven experience with CAD/GIS/design.
• Interest or background in utilities, telecom, commercial wiring or power space.
• Prior experience with power utility design
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
