Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking an entry-level Bridge/Structural Engineer to join our Transportation team in Lexington, SC. Responsibilities include developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge projects, and contributing to design reports.

The ideal candidate will have a civil/structural engineering degree, an EIT is preferred, and familiarity with MicroStation and MS Office. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering required; EIT preferred.
• Desirable design software familiarity (MicroStation).
• Experience with transportation projects or relevant coursework is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge projects.
• Contribute to preparation of design reports.
• Perform geometric design for bridge projects and related tasks.
• Conduct load rating analyses for bridges and culverts.
