Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. seeks an entry-level Bookkeeper/Data Entry Specialist to input client data into bookkeeping systems, record income and expenses, and support payroll processing. You will ensure accurate checks, deposits, and ledger reconciliation, while maintaining organized paper files and contributing to client reports.

No prior work experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is expected. Training and ongoing guidance are provided, with duties performed on-site in Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Enter operational data into the client's bookkeeping system and record financial information.
• Endorse and deposit checks; prepare charge card transactions daily.
• Balance and reconcile ledgers and cash/bank accounts.
• Develop periodic client reports on income, expenses, taxes and other items.
• Provide payroll services and ensure compliance with wage laws.
• Maintain a manual file system for hard-copy documents.
• Identify process issues and propose improvements to management.
• Participate in training and meetings to improve service delivery.
• Attend trainings for job duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
