Job summary

McKesson is seeking an entry-level Associate Biomedical Technician to perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of biomedical equipment in City of Industry, CA. The role requires technical aptitude, the ability to learn troubleshooting, and participation in growth initiatives within the department.

Shift is Mon–Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm; overtime may be required. The budgeted rate is $25/hr, with a base pay range shown as $23.21–$38.68 according to McKesson’s pay philosophy.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of various hospital/homecare medical equipment.
• Excellent customer communication skills.
• Computer literate with an understanding of database operations.
• Understanding of and ability to operate basic electronic test equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electronics, electricity, electro-mechanical, fluidics, pneumatics and hydraulic theories and practices.
• Strong work ethic and focus on quality work.
• Must be organized.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Professionalism and a mature sense of accountability.

Responsibilities

• Will perform PMs and minor repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment.
• Will mentor and assist PM technicians.
• Will identify training needs for self.
• Will assure the service area is clean and orderly, providing a safe environment for service personnel.
• Will assure accurate database entry and reports.
• Expected to meet production goals set for the department.
• Will participate in mentoring when required.
