Job summary

ACES in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 ABA therapy in our centers or home settings. You will reinforce positive behaviors using our training program and track client progress with company data systems.

The role offers a part-time schedule starting around 15 hours per week with opportunities to build additional hours based on availability and business needs, plus paid RBT training and a company-issued iPad.

Schedule & Hours

This is a part-time role, starting at approximately 15 hours per week, with opportunities to build additional hours based on availability and business needs.

Qualifications

• Sound judgment in dynamic situations
• A desire for a meaningful, hands-on career
• Experience working with children is a plus (e.g., camp counselor, nanny, preschool teacher, paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, or childcare volunteer) – all applicants are welcome

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Enrolled or completed one college course (trade or tech school is applicable)
• A passion for supporting children and families impacted by autism
• Comfort using tablet-based technology
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active car insurance
• Military and college students may be exempt
• Availability during times most needed by families
• Commitment to completing our paid virtual RBT training program

Physical Requirements

Direct work with clients may include, without limitation, the following physical demands: sitting, kneeling, squatting, running, twisting and turning, reaching above shoulders and/or frequent physical transitions. Responsibilities listed are illustrative and may change at ACES’ discretion.
