Job summary

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT) in Columbus, OH, is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Business Unit. This full‑time role provides flight-path opportunities on airport and aviation infrastructure projects while developing technical skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and pursuing PE licensure.

You will support planning, design, and construction tasks, perform design calculations, assist with documentation, attend client meetings, travel to project sites, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EI certification or progress toward FE exam.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt quickly.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and construction of aviation-related civil infrastructure projects, including airport pavements and utility systems
• Perform technical design tasks, report writing, cost estimating, and quantity takeoffs
• Participate in field investigations, construction observation, and materials testing
• Assist with the preparation of project documentation and technical deliverables
• Attend client meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple CMT offices
• Travel to project sites as required
• Work in a fast-paced learning environment while expanding technical and professional skill sets
• Work toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, as applicable by state
