Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician to gain hands-on experience at one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers. You will learn basic automotive services, including tire mounting/balancing and oil changes, while delivering outstanding service.

You will train with experienced technicians, develop guest-service skills, and help maintain safety and policy compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No relocation offered for this position.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: prior automotive preventative maintenance experience.
• Preferred: formal automotive training / entry level/ general labor.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform basic automotive services such as mounting and balancing tires, oil changes, and filter replacements.
• Train with mid and senior automotive technicians to learn additional services.
• Provide excellent guest service with clear communication about guest vehicles.
• Promote teamwork to meet guest expectations.
• Maintain adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting and handling tires and wheels.

General Description:

As an Entry Level Automotive Technician, you will gain hands‑on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by learning how to perform basic automotive services while delivering outstanding service. You will also become familiar with how to mount and balance tires, perform oil changes, and conduct additional automotive preventative maintenance. • Train with mid and senior level automotive technicians to learn additional automotive services.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.

Basic Qualifications:
