Jiffy Lube in Romeoville, IL is seeking a General Service Technician for a part-time, on-site position. You’ll service guest vehicles and participate in our training program to gain certification, with compensation of $15.00–$15.24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and teammates
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending/squatting

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on-time, accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Provide clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles
• Ensure the service center is clean and presentable
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level automotive technicians
• Check oil level and communicate with teammates
• Ensure tire pressure and inflate properly
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspections and document all work
• Report safety issues to management
• Perform various manual tasks including lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
