Job summary

Dahl Automotive is hiring an Entry-Level Detail Technician at our Reconditioning Center in Onalaska, WI. You will clean and recondition vehicle interiors and exteriors using state-of-the-art equipment to prep used cars for showroom and lot readiness.

This full-time, year-round role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with opportunities to develop skills in detailing and vehicle presentation within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Ability to safely maneuver in and out of vehicles (bending, reaching, kneeling, crawling, standing).
• Ability to safely operate detailing tools and equipment.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Sales and Service by ensuring vehicles are clean, polished, and showroom-ready.
• Thoroughly wash and clean exteriors, interiors, windows, and upholstery.
• Vacuum and detail interiors to meet quality standards.
• Apply wax and use a buffer for a polished finish.
• Clean engines and engine compartments as needed.
• Inspect vehicles for dents or scratches and report concerns.
• Ensure vehicles are sales-ready and look their best before returning to the lot.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality.
• Follow dealership standards to deliver exceptional presentation.

Join the Dahl Automotive team at our Reconditioning Center in Onalaska, WI —a non-guest-facing location where you can focus on getting vehicles looking their best! We’re looking for an Entry-Level Detail Technician to clean and recondition the interiors and exteriors of vehicles, preparing our used cars to be showroom- and lot-ready. You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment designed to help you work efficiently and get more done. This is a full-time, year-round position with a Monday–Friday schedule, giving you the opportunity to enjoy your evenings and weekends!

Responsibilities:

• Support the Sales and Service departments by ensuring vehicles are clean, polished, and showroom-ready.

• Follow dealership standards and procedures to consistently deliver exceptional vehicle presentation.

• Properly use, care for, and maintain all detailing tools and equipment.
• Immediately report any vehicle damage or concerns to the supervising manager.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with team members to complete work efficiently.
• Maintain a professional appearance and consistently deliver excellent service that positively represents Dahl Automotive.
• Bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and can-do mentality to the team.
