Job summary

Asheville Chevrolet is seeking an entry-level automotive technician to help diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a fast-paced shop environment. You will document work orders, communicate with the parts team and service advisor, and perform repairs per factory standards.

The role emphasizes learning new technology, operating diagnostic equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe shop while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eagerness to improve.
• Entry-level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred.
• Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts and with Service Advisor to keep customers informed.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner and keep shop area neat and organized.
