Job summary

Giles Nissan in Lafayette, LA is seeking an entry-level Express Technician to join our busy service team. Learn hands-on and grow into a full-line certified technician while enjoying weekends off and a supportive, team-driven environment.

No prior automotive experience required—enthusiasm and attitude matter most. Starting pay is $13/hour with potential increases based on experience; we offer medical/vision/dental, paid vacation, a 401(k) and advancement opportunities within six months.

Qualifications

• 18+ with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hardworking, eager to learn, and proud of doing the job right.
• Comfortable using tools and performing physical tasks.
• Team-oriented, positive, and professional.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, brake pad replacements, and vehicle inspections.
• Follow dealership and factory standards on all repair orders.
• Communicate effectively with parts department and service advisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and proper care of tools.
• Test-drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools as needed.
• Deliver excellent service and attention to detail on every vehicle.
