Job summary

Carr, Riggs & Ingram is seeking an Entry Level Associate in Tax to join our Georgia team. You will prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns and contribute to client service under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting and CPA exam readiness; a Masters in Tax is preferred. Strong communication, organization and teamwork are essential; U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • CPA exam eligibility is required or in progress.
  • Masters in Tax is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns of varying complexities
  • Develop technical, time management and organizational skills to work within budgeted time
  • Assist in quarterly and year-end estimate preparations; draft letters to IRS and state notices
  • Make adjusting entries and complete a trial balance for business returns
  • Perform accounting/bookkeeping functions when needed

Essential Functions:
  • Prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns of varying complexities
  • Perform services within budgeted time by developing technical, time management and organizational skills
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end estimatesDraft response letter to IRS and state notices when needed
  • Make adjusting entries and complete a trial balance in order to prepare business returns
  • Perform accounting/bookkeeping functions when needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and completed all requirements to sit for the CPA exam
    • Masters in Tax preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
