The County Court serves as the starting point for nearly all new prosecutors, where you can learn the unique complexities of criminal law litigation. In this position, you will manage a caseload, engage with community members, and collaborate with various levels and types of law enforcement. If you are interested in litigation, the county court unit provides the opportunity to be in court almost daily, allowing you to significantly sharpen your skills through bench and jury trials, motion practice, and other daily court activities.
You must be a recent law school graduate currently preparing for all parts of the Florida Bar exam in July. Alternatively, we welcome licensed attorneys who are barred in Florida and have limited or no experience in criminal law but are eager to learn.
