Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Groton, CT is seeking an analytical chemist to support drug substance and product development through established analytical methods. The role involves preparing samples, running chromatographic and spectroscopic analyses, and assisting with method validation and transfer within a GMP environment.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry-based degree, strong lab and documentation skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biochemistry or related field is required.
• Basic laboratory skills and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a GMP environment.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing analytical methodologies, systems, and processes to support drug substance and drug product development through all phases.
• Prepare, set up, and analyze drug substances and/or drug product samples using chromatography, spectroscopy, dissolution, and related methods.
• Support development and optimization of analytical methods including impurity and dissolution characterization.
• Execute method qualification, validation, and transfer activities to support development programs.
• Conduct stability and degradation studies to evaluate product performance.
• Assist with analytical method transfer across laboratories and sites.
