Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Entry Level Analyst for a large, well-established client in the energy and utilities sector. This position supports critical operational workflows for residential and small commercial accounts, providing exposure to regulated processes, enterprise systems, and cross-functional coordination. The Entry Level Analyst plays a key role in ensuring automated systems function accurately and in identifying and resolving exceptions that impact customers and operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze residential and small commercial accounts to determine service disconnection eligibility in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Execute system parameters and transactions supporting automated disconnect and reconnect processes.
- Run and analyze reports and queries in SAP-CCS and BW to support operational monitoring.
- Review aged and exception-based accounts to identify root causes of failed system events.
- Monitor disconnect and reconnect activity to ensure accounts progress correctly through external distribution partners.
- Identify and resolve failed or rejected orders in coordination with distribution companies.
- Determine required actions for failed reconnects to ensure timely restoration of service.
- Analyze accounts for balance transfers between inactive and active accounts when appropriate.
- Review automated disconnect, move-out, and do-not-pay processes to confirm accurate execution.
- Apply collection policies and procedures to assigned customer accounts.
- Research delinquent accounts to identify why systematic collection efforts are not effective.
- Document failed events and trends to support tracking and system improvement initiatives.
- Escalate non-standard situations to management in alignment with established policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field from an accredited four-year university preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required if substituting education with experience.
- 2 years of general business experience, or 6 months of collections experience combined with SAP/CCS experience.
- Experience within utilities or deregulated energy environments preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP-CCS and BW reporting tools.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and database‑driven applications.
- Ability to analyze data, reports, and account activity to support operational decisions.
- Working knowledge of collection processes and transaction‑based systems.
- Ability to perform fundamental math calculations, including percentages and basic arithmetic.
