Precision Castparts Corp. – Carson City is seeking an entry‑level Manufacturing Identification Technician to verify part identity, markings, and traceability.

You will review documentation, perform basic visual and dimensional inspections with calipers, and ensure records are complete before parts advance in the process. We offer hands‑on training and opportunities to cross‑train as you develop inspection knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred and basic reading of technical documents.
• Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement techniques is helpful.
• Basic shop math and print-reading skills are desired.

Responsibilities

• Verify part identity, serial numbers, lot traceability, and required markings.
• Confirm that part markings meet customer and engineering requirements.
• Review routers, certifications, technique cards, and production documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify that the correct documentation accompanies each part before it moves to the next operation.
• Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections using calipers and other precision tools.
• Enter and track production and inspection activity in E1 or other applicable systems.
• Complete inspection records and traceability documentation accurately.
