Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. in Pueblo, CO, is seeking a Technical Support Representative to provide technical support for the Propulsion Shop & Test Facility and assist in developing subsystem testing to meet overall launch vehicle requirements.

The role works with engineering to ensure schedules are met, operate from schematics and drawings, perform calibration, and contribute to data reports. High School Diploma or GED required; no experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly, metal fabrication in an aerospace or similar industry.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Self-motivated, team player willing to adapt within a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to work overtime, to include extended shifts and weekends.
• Experience in the use and operation of precision measuring devices.
• Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow test procedures.
• Ability to understand and adhere to shop practices and safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of industry design and documentation standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, and/or electromechanical fields.
• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
• Provides basic data including but not limited to preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to assist engineering during testing activities.
• Investigates pertinent requirements to assist engineering with design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, repeatability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.
• Recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.
