Job summary

ACI Jet, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking an entry-level Aircraft Restoration & Maintenance Technician to support a 12- to 24-month Grumman Albatross restoration and maintenance project under the supervision of the Lead Technician. The role focuses on hands-on restoration, component maintenance, and general shop operations.

The ideal candidate has an FAA-approved A&P program or current license, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn and grow within a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for an FAA‑approved Aircraft & Powerplant license.
• Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and interest in aircraft restoration.
• Able to follow detailed verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Basic computer literacy for logging work and tracking parts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Technician with structural repairs, component overhauls, and general aircraft maintenance tasks.
• Perform basic sheet metal preparation, cleaning, and disassembly under direct supervision.
• Learn to read technical manuals, SRMs, and engineering drawings to support restoration goals.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and prepare logbook entries.
• Monitor shop supplies and keep the workspace clean and safe.
