Job summary

LEEBOY Inc. seeks an entry-level paint prep associate to prepare machinery for painting by cleaning residues and fixing minor imperfections. You will sand, scrape, and chip welds, tape parts not to be painted, and pressure-wash equipment in a safety-focused environment.

You will learn to operate LEEBOY equipment, move parts with a hydraulic cart, and handle hand/air/electric tools while wearing required PPE during all tasks.

Qualifications

• Entry level position requiring basic prep knowledge: sanding, scraping and chipping welds, taping parts not to be painted and pressure washing parts/subassemblies.
• Forklift operation ability or willingness to learn.
• Ability to move machines using a 3-wheel hydraulic cart around the paint area.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety practices.
• Willingness to learn to operate LEEBOY equipment.
• Learn color codes assigned to parts/subassemblies (yellow, black, gray).
• Operate a pressure washer and control chemical application during washing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manufactured machinery for paint by cleaning off residues and imperfections.
• Move and position parts using tools and carts in the paint area.
• Operate or learn to operate a forklift and various hand/air/electric tools.
• Set up and operate paint booths and ensure proper cleanliness of booths.
• Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and guide repairs as needed.
