Job summary

The University of Southern California (USC) Facilities Planning & Management is seeking an Entry Custodian to join its team in Los Angeles. The role performs standard custodial tasks, cleans restrooms, maintains cleaning supplies, and ensures safe, orderly areas in USC facilities.

Training and on-the-job learning may be provided. Minimum qualifications include 6 months of custodial experience and basic knowledge of cleaning, with English fluency.

Qualifications

• 6 months of custodial experience or related.
• Basic knowledge of general cleaning.
• Familiar with standard safety practices and equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services restrooms.
• Performs general cleaning and related housekeeping service functions.
• Maintains custodial standards and safe, secure areas.
• Maintains cleaning closets and orders supplies as needed.
• Reports maintenance problems and malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• Performs floor care duties as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
