Job summary

UCT Scarborough, ME is seeking a Technician I to support cleanroom operations in Scarborough, Maine. The role involves performing chemical and manual cleaning to ensure parts meet quality and safety standards, following SOPs and Lean practices.

You will work with hazardous chemicals, maintain organized work areas, complete required training, and contribute to environmental compliance and product quality while developing new skills in a fast-growing semiconductor-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience in manufacturing processes or materials.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience preferred.
• Experience in parts cleaning and coating technologies is desired.
• Kaizen or Lean training is a major plus.
• Quality Assurance experience.
• Previous experience in the parts cleaning industry is a major plus.
• High-Tech or Semiconductor experience.

Responsibilities

• Process parts using chemical and manual cleaning methods.
• Follows all SOPs, Lean manufacturing processes, company policies and practices.
• Complete training on assigned processes.
• Perform daily organization and upkeep of the assigned process area.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and training programs.
• Handle hazardous chemicals safely and properly dispose of them.
• Adhere to safety program and complete safety training.
• Organize tasks efficiently and report progress on goals.
• Maintain safety and environmental awareness in daily work.
• Seek to advance skills and learn new processes.
