Job summary

Hanover Foods Corporation in Centre Hall, PA seeks a 1st Shift Entrée Room cooker/operator. You will cook using ingredients per recipes, batch procedures, and record keeping, while maintaining product quality and proper labeling.

The role requires consistent attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety policies. Hours are typically 5am - 3pm or 5am - 5pm with rotating days off, with opportunities to perform various production duties and PPE practices as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
• General skills to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
• Ability to work well with all employees (including management).
• Ability to pay attention to detail and be accurate and efficient in recordkeeping.
• Must physically be able to lift up to 40-70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes ingredients according to recipes and records batching procedures.
• Checks quantity and temperature of batches in accordance with specifications.
• Ensures the production line is provided with sufficient amounts of required product on a timely basis.
• Inspecting finished product for quality and proper labeling.
• Learning the line flow and setting up production of various products for the Production Department.
• Cleaning machinery as applicable.
• Ensuring the work areas are clean and in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
• Performing various checks and doing paperwork throughout the shift; ensuring accuracy and legible handwriting.
• Reporting safety issues immediately to Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Adhering to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
