Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a professional Controller to lead the monthly close for a legal entity, oversee intercompany activity, and ensure accurate US GAAP reporting. You will collaborate with Market Risk, Credit Risk, and Corporate Treasury to analyze regulatory capital and provide transparent financial information.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, 3+ years of relevant experience, and strong Excel and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance.
CPA is desired but not required.
3+ years of relevant work experience.
Teamwork and collaboration-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
Must demonstrate energy, focus, drive and urgency.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Act as legal entity controller over monthly close, intercompany relations and ledger accuracy.
Prepare quarterly financial information for SEC filings.
Assist in analyzing regulatory capital requirements with risk and treasury teams.
Ensure accurate reporting of regulatory information in public reports.
Coordinate with Product, Funding, Tax, Regulatory, Market and Credit Risk teams on inquiries and changes.
Assist in preparing standalone entity financial information and disclosures per US GAAP.
Perform ad hoc analyses for consolidating entities for internal/external reporting.
