Job summary

Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey seeks an Entertainment Technician to safely operate lighting, audio, atmospheric effects, and pneumatics for live shows and marquee events. You will interact with guests and staff while maintaining park safety and policies.

Expect varied hours, including weekends and holidays, with physical tasks such as lifting and climbing. The role requires teamwork, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work in all weather conditions while supporting show load-in

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time and up to 14 hours a day.
• Able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
• Must be able to climb a stepladder up to 16 ft in height.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and troubleshoot live shows including lighting, audio, atmospheric effects and video.
• Oversee technical equipment to ensure smooth operation of shows and events.
• Prepare venue and facilities for daily operation and events; maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Support load-in/out tasks and adapt to Fright Fest and other events as needed.

Job description

As an Entertainment Technician, youare responsible forthe safe handling and operation of equipment within the fields of lighting, audio, atmospheric effects, and pneumatics. Thisincludes the technical running of live shows as well as other marquee events.Technicians are expected tointeract with guests, other employees, and supervisors whilemaintainingthe company’s integrity and following all park policiesand procedures. Job duties also include working both individuallyas well aswith a team and should anticipate working in all weather conditions.

Pay Rate: $17.50/Hour

Responsibilities

• Shows an emphasistowardssafety when performing all job tasks assigned to them.
• Oversee technical equipment related to live shows such as audio, lighting,videoand scenic effects while ensuring smooth operation of all elements relating to it.
• Prepare workspace and facilities for daily operation including but not limited to venue upkeep and cleanliness, show preparation, and special events.
• Perform maintenance of all equipment to ensure proper functionality as well as prepare and test equipment based on departmental needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to Six Flag’s policies regarding guest interactions by answering questions as well as providing directions.
• Assist with load-in and load-out tasks including but not limited to Fright Fest, and other events that require efficient thinking.
• Must have adequate availability including weekends,early mornings,late-nights, and holidays.
• Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.While this job description is intended to bean accuratereflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances (i.e..Emergencies, changes in workload, or technological developments) dictate.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day.
• Must be able to walk up to 5 miles per day over various surfaces.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently.
• Must be able to lift and lower 25lbs above shoulder level.
• Must be able to climb a stepladder up to 16ft in height.
